BlackinSac.com promotes #Familyhood as a vision and the #1stSaturdays strategy of advancing Sacramento into “The Black.”

#Familyhood identifies the school in every community as the nucleus for the communities development.

#Familyhood is driven by two main motto’s 1) #Friendsofschool and 2) #Mobetterfood

#Friendsofschool says, “Every school shall have a functioning student government association, parent teacher association and alumni association.”

#Mobetterfood says, “every school shall have a garden, a farmers market and a grocery store.”

Where do we start? We start with #1stSaturdays – the official monthly volunteer day.

Every 1st Saturday of the month, representatives of the three main organizations meet at the school to plan their school garden, farmers market and grocery store.
